Betsy’s Spring Wedding – Lubbock Wedding Flowers by Kelle B
UPDATE! So excited to get the word out that Flowers by KelleB has been published in the Texas edition of The Knot! That’s right… THE KNOT (Texas)!!! The bridal bible for all brides out there! Much thanks goes out to Lissa Anglin for submitting her photos of Betsy & Cole’s wedding, which were selected for the Spring/Summer issue on stands NOW! Look for Betsy & Cole’s real wedding in the print version or the online version on The Knot Website!
Betsy… What can I say, but an utter joy and pleasure to work with! She put her faith in me and let me do what I do, and the outcome was, ok, I’ll just say it… breathtaking! I totally surprised myself and am so proud I was a part of this wedding!
I got to use shades of white, cream, greens and yellows! Betsy was a low key bride who was all about simple elegance. The flowers turned out to be farthest from simple in appearance, but we totally nailed the elegance and there is a timeless classiness to it yet still a sense of whimsy which, I will be so bold to say, is very like the bride!
This was so much fun and I really enjoyed working side by side with the bride and her family who are just truly adorable to create something unique and special for Betsy and Cole!
I also want to take this chance to say a HUGE thank you to Lissa Anglin Photography for sharing all of her outstanding photos of my flowers. I took pictures of my own, but when you have professional shots like these to use, it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to use them! If you ever need a stellar photographer, Lissa’s your girl!
Here’s the “big April wedding” that my friends kept hearing me talk about! Enjoy!!! And CONGRATULATIONS to Betsy & Cole on your wedding and your new marriage! May God bless your union and may all your days be filled with the little joys of a happy marriage! <3 KelleB
THE BRIDAL PARTY
THE HAPPY COUPLE
- This was a fun collaboration with Betsy for the mantle in the ballroom at the Lubbock Country Club. We decided on some urns from her mom which we filled with lemons, moss and lemon leaves and topped with orchids. Also, a mantle is always the perfect spot to show off some fantastic photos of the happy couple!
- This cake was the most perfect and pristine cake I’d see in a while. Getting white fondant to look as slick as marble is a feat in itself! The gold details sparkled against the white and the topper of my flowers tied it all together. It was hard to stick those flowers in such perfection but I worked through it!
