Feather Fabulocity for a Fun & Flirty Bride
The lovely Miss Amy was one of the most laid back, yet highly organized, brides I have ever worked! She was a dream bride because she gave me her color scheme and then trusted me with the rest of the design. She also happens to be a friend, so her fun and flirty personality was easy for me to translate to her wedding flowers.
At first I thought I might not be able to do her flowers because her wedding was going to be in Dallas, but I did them here in Lubbock, packed them up and shipped them off to Dallas with her patient and steady driving father. Her mother is a good friend of my family’s and is our tax specialist extraordinaire and has set my frantic business mind at ease so many times, I was thrilled to get the chance to help her and Amy out when it came to the wedding flowers.
Because Amy is an accomplished dancer, I really wanted to create dramatic flair in her bridal flowers, so I used the ostrich feathers, which were also on her dress. This was my first time to use these feathers and I have to say they are quite dramatic and I love the elegant touch they lent to the flowers!
