Kim’s Mexican Fiesta Bridal Bouquet | Flowers by Kelle B | Lubbock, TX
I don’t know about most of you folks affected by 2015’s snowpocoliptic storm, Goliath, but this week has been slow going for me… I just can’t seem to get motivated with so much snow around… I mean, I live in west Texas where they close school down for 3″ of snow! 11″ is just a bit unheard of around these parts!
I had the luxury of a nice long break for the holidays and let me just say, getting back to the grind was a bit difficult for me. I JUST finished putting up all my Christmas decorations on Tuesday! Frankly, I just wanna snuggle in and watch old movies while drinking hot cocoa!
But, when I got a phone call from a lovely lady, Kim, in Colorado who needed some help with the flowers for her destination wedding to Mexico I was happy to jump to it! How was this going to happen, you might be asking yourself, when she lives in Colorado, I live in Texas and her wedding is taking place in Mexico? FAUX REAL FLOWERS!
I jumped at the chance to work with all those fun fiesta colors especially with the unlimited possibilities silk/real touch flowers could afford me! Kim had seen my other Fiesta Wedding I’d done flowers for a few years ago (all in fresh flowers) and wanted something similar in silk that could be shipped post haste as she’s getting married on the 16th of January! I was happy to oblige and create something unique just for her.
So here is what I came up with and boy did it help me get out of these snow covered doldrums! Now be honest, could you tell it was faux???? Huh? Huh?
Hope you are all staying warm and safe and that these many pictures (I couldn’t help myself again…) warm your hearts and souls. And to Kim and her groom, may your wedding go off without a hitch and may your marriage be long and full of love and happiness!
