Tamara & Tom’s Spring Green Wedding | Flowers by Kelle B | Lubbock, Tx Wedding Flowers
I thought in honor of St. Patrick’s Day and all things spring, I would share with you my Spring Green Wedding I did for Tamara & Tom back in the summer of 2013!
Tamara & Tom had recently moved to Midland, after graduating from Texas Tech, but planned on getting hitched back in Lubbock in August at the glorious oasis that is known as the Spirit Ranch! Ok, an August outdoor wedding… can you say HOT!?!?! These two loved gardening and Tom actually had a “green thumb,” so how could I refuse? Besides, I’d been dying to do a green and white wedding! We used shades of green and white to create a fresh and earthy romantic floral scheme. I suggested we use hearty mums and fresh variegated greenery as a base and then I, of course, added all the romantic flowers I love to use like hydrangeas, roses, lisianthus, and queen anne’s lace to round it all out!
Even though you might think this color scheme would blend right in to the lush surroundings of the Spirit Ranch, it really was perfect and really gave a “breath of fresh air” quality to the decor. We were easily able to capture and compliment the beauty of the grounds. The tables were set up outside on the patio under huge trees and the bride and groom were married off in the distance under a flower accented arbor… So romantic! And yes, the grass was really that green and lush! A true oasis in the summer heat!
I hope you enjoy these lovely pictures and I hope you are welcoming spring with as wide and open an embrace as I am (even if this time change is a tad rough)! Happy Spring and Happy St. Patrick’s Day (early)!
