Utterly Romantic Dallas Wedding | Wedding Flowers by KelleB
Back in April of 2013, I was fortunate enough to do the wedding flowers for Betsy White! In the collaboration with the talented Mrs. Lissa Anglin (of Lissa Anglin Photography), I had no idea, would lead me to being featured in the real weddings section of the 2013 spring/summer issue of The Knot (TEXAS)!
It was such a blessing and joy to work for the White family so when I got an urgent phone call (right after Katy’s engagement) from Mrs. White (mom to Betsy) requesting that I do Katy’s (daughter #2) wedding, I was honored and thrilled to work with the family again. The only hitch? The wedding would be in Dallas… (thats Big D to people in West Texas). Uhhhhh…. was I good enough to do a Big D wedding?????? Well, time would tell and the White’s utter confidence in me made me say YES before I could convince myself to say no!
Betsy and Katy were really completely different and very similar brides, as most sisters are. They both wanted a romantic look but Katy HATED yellow (the main color of Besty’s wedding flowers) so we went with soft and romantic colors of pinks, corals, creams with touches of lavender.
What an adventure it was! And I couldn’t have done it (people say this as a kind gesture, but I actually mean it!!!! SERIOUSLY!) without my trusty friends, Michelle and Jenny! They ran all over the place with me and helped me in so many ways and suffered through my stressfulness and demanding need for perfection. All in all, it turned out everso lovely! Thanks a million ladies!
Katy was very laid back and trusted me implicitly and handed the reins completely over to me (something I never tire of). She gave me just the right amount of guidance to get me going and then let me fly! I suggested an English country garden, Jane Austen, airily romantic floral theme and she was completely in! The whole wedding was very dreamy and romantic and I think the flowers complimented that too. So here is my Big D Wedding Adventure of 2013! Thank you White family for letting me help you with your flowers… AGAIN!
P.S. Katy was thoughtful enough to introduced me to her photographer, Crystal De Anda who was generous enough to allow me the use of these photos of my work! Thank you Crystal! If you are in need of a photographer in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area, she is definitely the lady to call!
